Italomeeting

The meeting was held this past weekend, the weather forecasts didn’t look promising last week, but all and all, we didn’t get much rain at all! Great!

Lodging was great, and all of the arrangements worked well. (Our group’s lodging wasn’t at the main area, but that didn’t make a difference.)

After arriving home yesterday, my odometer read 878 km more.

On the way home:

On hand were lot’s of Guzzis, Ducatis and Aprilias. Also a Benelli was spotted and a Gagiva. I bet I didn’t see them all. Total attendance was somewhere around 100++.

Also, on Saturday, some of us went to see classic roadracing at a nearby track. Oh, those old machines!

Track riding

Excellent afternoon riding at a local track. 15 minutes after we stopped riding, it rained / hailed!!

Still need to get use to a new bike on a track, she’s nothing like a Guzzi.. (both in good and bad..)

Riding time

Excellent weather during the last two weeks.

Today rode a small ~220 km trip. Lakes are still frozen at some parts.

Temperature dropped about 10 degrees celsius around the lake!! Elswhere it ws around 22-25 Celsius. For May, that’s pretty good. I’m not complaining, though.

Total mileage as of now ~1000km.

Ticket

Got the ticket(s) I’ve been waiting for about a year.

It’s only the most wathced event this year. A second set of tickets waits for us at the destination!!

For more info see WorldCup2006.

Over 60 games at 12 destinations in 4 weeks, Oh the beer and Bratwurst!
Our trip is 10 days, starting June 19th. Ryanair and Hertz are providing transportation (but not at their expense..) and friends providing accommodation.

On the subject of motorcycles; Maybe I’ll have to visit the Grüne Hölle.

Battery charger/tender

Filed under: Ducati, bit's & pieces

On a national hangover-day, what else there is to do than to trick up your ride??

Recently acquired CTEK battery charger is now hardwired to my bike.

Riding around town etc. with speeds up to 60 kmh, lights on, I bet the battery doesn’t get much charging, I hope this will help that situation. Cranking up an SPS isn’t easy, at least it doesn’t sound easy everytime I start her up. :-)
