I got a letter from Hertz today, stating that they have billed my creditcard a further 23.20 EUR. The letter states: “Rechnungsangaben zur ordnungswidrigkeit” A quick google and I think it’s a minor penalty for something I did.

Now that I think about it, I think I saw a camera flash on the autobahn.. I think I wasn’t going fast, because the bill is only 23 EUR. You know the german autobahns.. people don’t usually drive slow there.. (of course at a construction site etc..)

Well, another lesson learned.

A trip to the annual Bella Italia -meeting was yesterday, 22.7. A meeting of Italian cars, bikes and all. Good food, great people and the usual finnish weather; rained on the way there, and the rest of the day was clear and warm.

Oil (Castrol GPS 15w-50), oilfilter (Champion H301), tyres (Diablo Corsas) changed. Total km’s so far this summer is ~5000.

What a PITA to remove the front spindle. I did grease it, when I put it on in the winter, but still..

The rear Michelin didn’t handle the heat very well.. maybe too much pressure (and a newbie-ducati-track-rider). Tempereature was atleast 20C, maybe closer to 25C.

Oil change is due in the next week or so, already clocked over 4500 km’s. The weekend will bring another ~400 km’s for sure, maybe even more. The weather forecast is looking good, maybe even too good; Friday 29C, Saturday&Sunday 30C… Lucky me, along with the leathers, I also bought cooler summer pants, also by Hein Gericke. Excellent in commuting to work and back, zipper works with the jacket etc. Kudos to HG shop Koblenz and the gentleman who helped me spend over 400 EUR on a hot June day. Thanks very much, the gear is great!
