The rest of the pack

the whole bunch (minus the stuff in the last pic)

Trip down memory lane, way back in September.
and now: Stelvio cam

Click the small pics on the big pic to get better views in different directions.

Example:

Snowboarding/Skiing, anyone?

Juha has been nice, he might expect something from Santa (depending on Santa’s delivery schedule..)

Tadaa!

Replacement crown

Filed under: Ducati, bit's & pieces

To replace the crown that was worn (and now is a nice paperewight) I am going to be using this.

..one week to go to Christmas… ;)

Worn crown

Filed under: Ducati, bit's & pieces

This is what happens when you fix a broken crown tower and ride it around europe.

The tower in the pic was broken off at the base, and it was fixed with a screw from behind. That caused just enough off-balance, that the crown was worn like the pic shows. The other side had no marks what so ever, other than usual signs of wear. You couldn’t feel this at all when riding, though.

New basket

For the sake of my beloved followers and their sanity;

Here it is. A little lighter than the old one.

Satisfied?

more to come… ;-)

Something new

Santa came a bit early? I’ve always said that when you get them yourself, you get exactly what you want.

This is what I got.

There’s more to come…

Pack thickness

Filed under: Ducati, bit's & pieces

Unfortunately I do not know the km’s that this pack has seen, but it’s worn all right.

I’ll have to measure the individual plates at some point.

Clutch pack order 2

Filed under: Ducati, bit's & pieces

I promised I’d do this, so here goes:

EU/S/USA clutch pack:

16 pcs, 38,5 mm stack height.

order of plates: (drive plate == friction plate; teeth outside, driven plate == steel plate; teeth inside) Note the orientation of the spring plates. Spring plates have a dot on one of the teeth marking the ‘inside’, I think :-)

More clutch parts (old ones;)

Filed under: Ducati, bit's & pieces

Here’s another used part. Doesn’t look bad at all, for 33k km’s, I think?

Weight is just over 900 grams. I don’t know if all factory drums are lightened like this one, or is this an SPS -thing?

Feels like waiting for Santa, doesn’t it? (pics of the new parts.. :-D ) C’mon, you can wait another 2 weeks, can’t you? If you’re nice, you might see something even before..

Clutch pack order

I thought I would do this for future reference and as a help to other ducatista’s searching info on the subject. This, of course, is not the definitive source, use other sources too; your authorised dealer etc. There are tons of info on this on the internet, just use googol.

18 pcs, 38 mm stack height.

If I have the energy, I’ll do a similar for the non-SPS pack someday.
