I haven´t looked here in a while as it seems? Damn.

Anyway, you have to mount it at the bottom because it get´s cool air down there from the hole in the fairing. Otherwise you would have cooked it by now.

Why are the electrex so much better?

Hi,

Will try and do some time.

The clamp on the top of the front fork is the original handlebar clamp ( I have Heli-Bars) and on that clamp is a short 22mm bar, to which the ram mount is attached to. ->

No such site (yet..).

It seems that your activities are almost done for the winter, since you wandered over here :-D

The ducati should come out of service this week. Which leaves me just a couple of days before I leave for Canada for two months!

That's worn a fair amount but pretty normal looking. Since it doesn't have the ability to rotate like other designs it's going to wear more at those contact points just like that because of all that current passing through it every time you push that button, and the longer it takes to start the hotter it's going to get. I'm not sure of the material (copper alloy) but it needs to be soft enough to "clean" itself after repeated contacts otherwise it would arc and stick and hard enough to last for years, so it will wear as you see. Grant you it can cause some resistance with all the pits, but the working relays (some not) I have taken apart look just like that. I have cleaned the contacts and they usually work for a long time.

Actually, it is not a car part, but the same filter can be found from some BMW's and Triumph's, it even says so on the package.

Basically anyone that sell K-M filters should be able to get you that one. Have you tried (fl)e(a)-bay?

Can you tell me where to buy the Mahle KL145 fuel filters. I have checked many places, and I always end up with some bozo who tells me that "They only sell car parts." I try to explain to them that it IS a car part, but it just so happens to fit my MV Agusta. Then they just tell me that they don't have any parts that are interchangable! Unbelieveble!
